Reading in the Studio

Villa of Dominik Skutezky
The activity is inspired by the memoirs of Peter Karvaš, who was the painter’s grandson, and which were captured in his autobiographical novel “In the Nest”. On the first floor of a former family villa, visitors can hear an interesting reading about the grandfather Skutecky’s mysterious studio. Like Peter, they can also discover the smell of oil or turpentine. At last, they are welcome to draw their own pictures inspired by the spoken word or paintings in the studio.
